# Prices

> GET /v1/price returns USD prices derived from live routing.

The response follows the Jupiter price shape, keyed by canonical mint address.

## How the price is made

The price is what a small swap would realise. The engine quotes $10 of USDC into the token through the live router and inverts the result, so the number includes fees and impact at that size. If $10 finds no sound route, it tries $100, then $1,000. It is not an oracle read or a time-weighted average, and it moves the moment a pool that prices the token trades.

Prices are cached for about half a second per mint.

## Missing tokens

A token with no route from USDC is left out of the response rather than returned as `null`. Compare the keys you get back with the mints you asked for.
